Fitting Instructions:
To install the rear silencer delete pipes, follow these straightforward steps for a seamless upgrade.
- Remove Standard Resonators. Begin by carefully detaching the existing rear silencer from your vehicle’s exhaust system.
- Prepare the Exhaust. There are 2 silencers on the X5. Using the provided photos as a reference, you will need to mark and then cut the standard exhaust as required.
- We make the resonator deletes in 2 parts to make it easier to install them without having to remove the entire exhaust system.
- Left hand silencer ( Looking forward from rear of vehicle ). Cut 4″ from the exhaust mount on the front side of the silencer as shown in the photos.
- Then cut 3″ from the rear of the silencer as shown in photos.
- Right hand silencer ( Looking forward from rear of vehicle). Cut 4″ from the front of the silencer.
- Then cut 5″ from the rear of the silencer as shown in the photos.
- Install Delete Pipe. After you have cut the factory exhaust, securely clamp the resonator delete pipe into position.
Recomendations:
- Recommended Tools. For a clean and precise cut, we strongly recommend using a power saw. This tool will provide you with easier access and greater accuracy compared to manual cutting methods.
- Use Exhaust Assembly Paste. When fitting the delete pipes, it’s essential to use exhaust assembly paste to create a secure seal. Please note that this paste is not supplied with the product, so be sure to have it on hand before you begin your installation.
- DIY or Professional Help. This kit is designed for easy do-it-yourself installation, making it accessible for most car enthusiasts. However, if you have any uncertainties or lack the necessary tools, we highly advise seeking the assistance of a professional mechanic to ensure the installation is completed safely and effectively.
